Welcome
Washington County HFH is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged, with the mortgage payment going back into the local affiliate to help continue to build houses.
Volunteers provide most of the labor, and individual and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of labor - "sweat equity" - into building their homes and the homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving "Fund for Humanity" that is used to build more houses.
We are currently building two homes at the corner of Cisler Drive and Gibbons Street in Marietta. One home is a modular unit that was constructed at the Washington County Career Center and the other is being built on-site

Thank You
Washington County Habitat for Humanity would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to the members of First Baptist Church of Marietta. Recently more than 40 members of the congregation volunteered their time and talents at our current build site on Cisler drive in Marietta. This enthusiastic group worked to construct interior walls, hang vinyl siding, build a deck and worked on the front porch. They even prepared and served lunch for all of the volunteers on site that day! We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of people helping us to provide safe, decent, affordable housing for local families in need of a place to call home.
